Piers Morgan had a Twitter feud with basically every British comedian ever
LAST FRIDAY NIGHT, Comic Relief aired on BBC.
The comedy telethon raised £87 million and featured dozens of well-known faces doing their bit for charity.
Among those to take part was comedian Johnny Vegas, who co-starred in a sketch entitled No Direction. The sketch featured Vegas perform a rendition of the One Direction classic Best Song Ever alongside comedians Jack Dee, Vic Reeves, Patrick Kielty and Nick Helm.
The performance prompted this tweet from Piers Morgan.
As well as this tweet targeted specifically at Johnny Vegas.
Not one to take abuse lying down, Vegas shot back with this zinger.
And when Morgan retorted that that comment was funnier than the Comic Relief sketch, Vegas responded with this.
As Morgan continued to troll Comic Relief, several other comedians got involved including John Bishop.
A long back-and-forth ensued.
Soon, Morgan was questioning the motives of Comic Relief participants.
Until he totally backtracked.
After Russell Brand retweeted an earlier Johnny Vegas tweet, Piers Morgan had this to say.
After that, Piers was summarily put in his place.
Today, Johnny Vegas tweeted this message of thanks to those who supported him.
And Piers immediately attempted to start a new row.
Fortunately, he was put in his place by this follower.
Whoops!
